We began the process of developing a brand strategy for this smart and contemporary coworking space by immersing ourselves in the local culture. Located in Eldoret – the principal town in Kenya’s Rift Valley region – Kikao64 is much more than another trendy coworking space. It is an incubator for Kenya’s burgeoning high-tech community of entrepreneurs, start-ups and non profits. Over the course of a year, Viva & Co. tackled projects ranging from coffee packaging, menus, signage and wall graphics to a sophisticated website that supports the enterprise with a full suite of online tools. Was it a good idea to open a coworking space in the middle of a pandemic? For the local business community, the answer is a resounding yes.
