Need us to support a specific browser or device?
While we believe that the browsers that we test and support by default cover the majority of users, we understand that each website has a unique demographic of users. If there is a specific browser or device that you have identified (for example through Google Analytics) that is important for your user demographic but is not listed, feel free reach out to us. We are happy to support specific browser and device combinations, but we will need to charge at our regular hourly rate.
Why is Internet Explorer Not Listed?
Due to multiple security flaws and lack of support from Microsoft, we have made the decision, like many other agencies, to stop supporting Internet Explorer by default. We believe that users should be encouraged to use modern, secure browsers for their own safety.
- It has bad support and bad security – Support for IE 10 and earlier has already ended and Microsoft has announced that support for IE11 will end at the end of Windows 10’s lifecycle (2025). This means that Microsoft is phasing out IE and that most versions of IE are not receiving security fixes.
- It has bad performance – According to Top 10 Reviews, IE is on average 3.5 times slower than Firefox or Chrome.
- It has limited design support – IE doesn’t support the latest version of JavaScript and it also doesn’t support many modern CSS properties.
